Allure of the Seas - Day 2 - Relax. You're on Vacation!

Relax? Are you kidding me? I’m on vacation! I only sleep for a few hours each night I’m on vacation. Went to bed late last night, woke up early, only got around 4-5 hours of sleep, and this was pretty much the same routine each night.

Since we didn’t get a chance to eat at the Windjammer buffet yesterday, we all decided that we would meet there and eat breakfast together. Then some of us just split up into groups and wandered around some more until lunch, remember it’s a really big cruise ship!

Met up for lunch again at the Park Café, then once was that over and done with, he all headed on over to the Aqua Theatre to watch the World’s Sexiest Man Competition. They had contestants and judges from all over the world! In the end, not one but two champions were crowned!

After the competition was over, they were holding a Michael Jackson Line Dance class, some weren’t interested and some were, so we parted ways once again. We were there for about 45 minutes and did three different easy routines to three different MJ songs.

After that was finished, I headed down over to the Royal Promenade for the Flash Mob Dance class, I was only able to stay for about 20 minutes of the class though, as I had to go get changed for a Dodge ball Tournament @ 4. I didn’t even know that were was going to be a dodge ball tournament today, until I ran into some new people last night who were trying to recruit for their own team and told me about it. From that moment on, it was the event that I was looking forward to the most throughout the day.

Several teams signed up, I had Ly, Quenton, Aileen, Alfred and Eric on my team, and we were called Sitting Ducks. It was a round robin type of tournament, which meant you got to play more than once and you had to win a certain number of games before moving on to the next round. Long story short, we played two games and lost them both, which meant that we were eliminated from the tournament. Needless to say, it was extremely devastating for us, given all our dodge ball experience.

By the time that experience finished it was probably quarter after five, so I probably just went back to my room to shower and change up for dinner, as tonight was a formal night and we were to look our bestest! No lobster tonight, but they did have lobster bisque!

After our standard two hour dinner we were all hanging around the stairwell, trying to figure out what to do and taking pictures, when Alfred or someone wanted a group picture of all of us. A girl walked by and Alfred missed the opportunity of asking her to take a picture for all of us, he expressed his regret by saying “damn, okay, next pretty girl that walks by”, then when she walked by again, I pointed her out to Alfred and that’s when he popped the question of asking her to take a picture of all of us.

After that, some of us split and some of us lined up to take professional photos in our formal wear. By the time that was finished, I had to get quickly back to my room to change into casual attire for the OceanAria show, which was outside, so it was pretty humid. If you don’t show up on time to claim your reserved seats, they give it away. Makes sense. Well I didn’t make it in time, after changing, so I had to go upstairs to the higher level and stand there to enjoy the show. No complaints though. It was a really good show! There was some high dives, some aerobatic movements, a combination of high dive and aerobatic movements, you get the picture.

After some more wandering around, we somehow ended up in the card/game room. Someone probably wanted to play wolf. I had a headache that night, so after sitting down and playing one very long game of  chess with Quenton, which lasted an hour, I was surprised to find out that my headache had went away! Once that game was finally finished, I walked over to the other table, where the others were just quietly doing Sudoku or answering some trivia questions.

This is when Alfred asked me if one of those two girls behind us was the one who took the picture for us; I told him yes it was. That was when he just strutted himself over, asked her if she was the one who took the picture for us, introduced himself and asked if him and his friend could sit down and join them in the board game that they were about to play, Mad Gab. So we sat down and introduced ourselves, and turns out none of us had any idea how to play the game Mad Gab, so we talked about random stuff, like some of the shows we’ve seen, our experiences thus far, plans for tomorrow’s excursions etc, and eventually we got to reading the box and learning how to play the game.

Turns out the game is pretty fun. It’s probably around midnight and they tell us that they’re gonna turn in, since they have a full day of excursions ahead of them tomorrow, so we say our goodbyes and hope to see them again sometime.

Then we probably just went back to the other table and updated everyone on what happened over there. I don’t think we went to sleep till two, so we probably just hung out and wandered around some more. I can’t remember where and when exactly when I met Andrew, but it was probably this very night.
